It is great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bobby” William Butler, on Saturday, August 1st, 2020, at home in West Melbourne, Florida with his girls by his side at the age of 57. Bobby is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Elizabeth; his daughters Lauren (Andy) and Lindsey (Kaleb); and grandchildren Layla, Alexander and August. He is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Emma; brother Kenny and sister Tina; and beloved dog Bella.
Bobby was born in Maryland on March 7th, 1963. He moved to Melbourne, Florida with his family in the 70’s and graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1981. From a very young age Bobby took interest in fixing anything with a motor. What started as working on his dirt bike for fun turned into a lifelong, satisfying career. He and his wife opened a small mower repair shop on Ring Avenue in Palm Bay in 1992 and grew their business into a well-known outdoor equipment repair shop, Malabar Mowers ( now Mower Pros). His customers knew there was a good chance that a quick trip to the shop could very well turn into a 2 hour hangout. On the weekends, Bobby spent his free time restoring antiques, taking naps on the couch and finding side gigs to tinker with. Anyone that knew Bobby would agree that his honest and “no sugar coated” way of living was one of his very best traits. He will be incredibly missed.
Friends and family will be received at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial (5950 S. US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida) on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 2 - 4 pm.
