Alan Anthony Ramsey of Palm Bay, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Born on February 27, 1965 in Anchorage, Alaska to Robert Anthony Ramsey and Billie Deloris Ramsey. Alan is preceded in death by his father, Robert Anthony Ramsey.
Alan is a 1983 graduate of Osceola High School. He was a member of the 1982 Osceola Kowboys team that was the first in school history to make the state playoffs, subsequently reaching the state championship game. Being a proud Air Force dependent, Alan enlisted in the Navy in 1984 to contribute his own time and service to his country. Education was important to Alan and upon leaving the Navy, he pursued his B.S. in Secondary Education Broadfield Social Studies at Georgia State University which he received in 1992. While a student at Georgia State, he was a member of the Blue Key Honor Society. In 2012, Alan was awarded his MBA where he was a member of the Gold Key Honor Society and the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society.
He was a lifelong student but especially of history with an intense interest in the history of World War II, aircraft, and gun history. Alan’s thirst for knowledge did not allow him to keep his interest contained as his interests spanned across music, video games, movies, and cars. Of course, Alan was an avid reader and much like his musical tastes, it cannot be defined by one genre.
Alan is survived by his wife, Jini Lee Ramsey of Palm Bay; daughter, Meghan Ramsey of Palm Bay, FL; brother, Bryan Ramsey of Carrollton, Texas; mother, Billie Deloris Ramsey of Bethleham, Georgia; and nephew, Jackson Ramsey.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Alan to the United Ostomy Associations of America or the Disabled American Veterans Charity.
