Terry Ray Conti

Terry Ray Conti, 59, of Rockford passed away peacefully at Madison VA Hospital September 10, 2014 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 19, 1955 to John A. and Vivian (Brown) Conti.

He proudly served in the Marine Corps and a Veteran of Vietnam. Terry’s heart went out to all Veterans and would even cry for them. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle. Terry lived his life for his family, working two or three jobs, seven days a week, year round in California until he could do no more. Terry will always be remembered for how he loved to talk, laugh and joke around.

Terry is survived by his Daughters; Shirley (Gabriel) Morton of New Jersey, Angie Conti of California, sons; Anthony, Cliff and Jonathan all of California, sister; Arlene (Joseph) Blades, and brother; Richard Conti both of Rockford, half-sister; Sonja Conti of Machesney Park, half-brother; John C. Conti of Rockford, grandchildren; Michaela Shea, Jeremiah Jason (J.J.) Terry II, Alyssa, Christian Rhey, Kelly, Jamie, and Angel, nieces; Penny Wolf of England (also Godchild of Terry’s and all my love Penny), Meredith Hoffman, Nikki (Allen) Delmore (with all my love Nikki), Tammy Isley, Christina Dulgar both of Rockford, Paul Conti of Kentucky, great-nieces; Davynn Jennings of Iowa, Alyssa Dishon of England ;Trysta Jennings, Jordyn Delmore (special Blue Eyes); great-nephews Cody Cassaza, Devon Delmore (you are special- take care of your NaNa for me- Uncle Terry), all of Rockford, Joseph Dishon of England, great-great nephew; Tyler Dishon of England. Terry is predeceased by by, daughter; Kelly Conti, sister; Lisa Conti, and his parents.

Per Terry’s wishes there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Graveside service 10 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park.
