Bradley Scott King

Bradley Scott King, age 67, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Brad was born in Rockford, IL on March 15, 1955 to Ross and Elizabeth King. In 1974 Brad graduated from Rockford West High School. He went on to receive his Associate's Degree from Rock Valley College in 2002. On April 16, 1983 Brad married the love of his life Lori W. Weir, they spent 40 beautiful years together. He was a lifelong member at Court Street United Methodist Church in Rockford. Brad retired from RRWRD in 2017 after over 20 years in the business. After his retirement, Brad joined the YMCA Retired Men's Club. Brad loved golf, bowling, fishing, and building and flying model airplanes. He truly loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandsons.

Brad is survived by his wife, Lori W. King; children, James King and Katie (Adam) Dreger; grandsons, Easton and Weston Dreger; niece, Teresa (Tom) Musso; nephew, Robert King; brother from another mother, Norman (Mary) Kallner; many cousins. He was preceded in death by parents, Ross and Elizabeth King; brother, Brian L. King; many aunts and uncles.

A Memorial Funeral Service for Brad will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11am at Advantage Funeral Home (7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102). Inurnment to follow in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Court Street United Methodist Church in Rockford.
