Wesley Earl Smith Jr., age 77, of Sewickley, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Wesley was born March 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Wesley and Myrtle Smith Sr. He attended Quaker Valley High School, graduating in 1963. His love of cars led him to Vale Tech in Blairsville to become an auto mechanic and eventually became the service manager for Nick Crivelli Chevrolet in Beaver where he remained for over 40 years. Wes proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1969 and was on the USS Wasp (an aircraft carrier). After retiring, he enjoyed watching car races of all types, and he was an avid reader.
He survived by one son; Erik (Yvonne) Smith; one granddaughter; Erika (Zach) Gittins, one grandson; Jordan Smith, two great grandsons; Dominick and Gavin Platt, and one great granddaughter, Savannah Platt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Pamela J. Smith.
As per Wesley's wishes, all services were private and entrusted to the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
