Robert R. Cox, age 82, of Monaca, Center Twp., died on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born September 7, 1938, in Waynesburg, he was the son of the late Dana and Lucy Cox. He was a retired motor inspector for LTV Steel for 47 years. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and loved spending time at his camp at Leisure Lake Campground in Diamond, Ohio, and loved going to Myrtle Beach to spend time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the late Delores Cox (2016), one son; Roy E. Cox; and two grandsons; Richard A. and Brandon C. Cox. Also preceded him in death are three brothers; James, Kermit, and Ronald Cox, and four sisters; Mary Katherine Leshinski, Joan Stickles, Susie Alderson, and Rita Campbell.
He is survived by two sons; Robert D., and Randy L. Cox; one brother, Charles Cox, four grandchildren; Robert A. (Raquel) Cox, Alexis C. Frey, Amanda and Raymond Cox; and seven great grandchildren; Alyvia and Demetria Cox; Ava Gracie, Talon, Farah Dillie; Aubrey Lynn Nicole and Aliyah Rae Cox. Also surviving is a very dear and close friend Gladis Bowers.
Friends will be received on Monday, February 8th, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and funeral services, including military honors, will be held on Tuesday, February 9th at 11:00am, at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
