Mary Jane Weigel

Mary Jane Weigel, 92, of Daugherty, went to be in Heaven with her Lord on Friday, May 6, 2022. She was born on June 19, 1929, in Baden to the late Clyde and Viola (Herr) Vasbinder and was the wife of the late Blair L. Weigel who passed in 2001 after 53 years of marriage.

Mary Jane attended Brewer School and graduated from New Brighton High School in 1947 and retired from the Beaver Valley Medical Center where she worked as a nurse’s aide, and also worked as a unit clerk at Rochester General Hospital. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Daughterty Township. Mary Jane was inducted into the Horseshoe Hall of Fame and worked in the kitchen at Horseshoe in Beaver County and the Beagle Club where she made her apple butter. She was also a member of the Daughterty Township Fire Hall.

She is survived by her son; Jeffery Blair (Jennifer) Weigel of Brighton, Tennessee, two daughters; Billie Jean Curry of new Brighton and Mary Jo Pasquale of New Brighton, five grandchildren: Todd, Christopher, Ryan, Seth, and Marjorie, and her three great-grandchildren; Brett, Abby and Tristan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter; Sandra Weigel, and her sister; Viola.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc. 273 Route 68 Rochester, PA 15074 where a service to celebrate Mary Jane’s life will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM.
