Evelyn T. Evans, age 99, of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Evelyn was born December 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Guido. She loved traveling on bus tours with her late husband John, she loved to cook, and during WWII, she was one of the first women employed at Westinghouse. Evelyn was a member of St. Cecilia Church in Rochester.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John A. Evans, and her beloved dog Buffy. She was the last surviving of all of her siblings.
She is survived by one son, and his wife; Gary 'emmett' (Faith) Evans, and her favorite nephew Frances 'Chuck' Mignanelli.
As per Evelyn's wishes, all services were private and entrusted to the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Villa St. Joseph and Good Samaritan Hospice for their tremendous care and support.
