Donald Welling, age 94, of Baden, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Donald was born November 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Curly and Mary (Crawford) Welling. Don was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he was a Ford auto mechanic for over 30 years, before working for, and retiring from, the Baden Sewage Department. He was an avid bowler for over 50 years, and he was Lutheran in faith.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years; Lois (Stanfield) Welling; three sons; Donald (Elizabeth), James (Annie), and Ray Welling. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Crystal (Mathew) Day and Matthew (Miranda Mills) Welling; four great grandchildren; Isabella, Leviathan, Riven, and Vidia Day, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, and very special and close friends; Donna and Jimmy Maggs, and Lanny and Shirley Reinard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; James (Pauline) Welling, and one sister, Carol (Frank) Bozak.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, funeral services will held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 12 noon at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
