Dolly Galli

Elizabeth Theresa Galli, 87 of Patterson Township, went home to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, and was reunited with her loving husband Norman, on July 7, 2021. She was born April 12, 1934 in Midland, daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Wirag) Migliore. She was a graduate of Midland High School and enjoyed being raised in the close knit community of Midland.

Friends and family affectionately knew her as “Dolly”. She was a woman of faith and one of the founding members of Christian Assembly, Ohioville. Any person, whether a new convert to Christ, or new member to the Church, would receive a personal call from Dolly offering words of welcome, encouragement and a reassuring prayer. She always made herself available to others.

She joined her husband Norman in baking delicious bread or cookies that they shared with friends, neighbors and their mail carrier. They also enjoyed surprising the staff at the pharmacy or doctor’s office with an assortment of goodies just to let them know they were appreciated.

Dolly also devoted a number of years to babysitting for families. She was the cuddling presence for children whose parents were working. Her refrigerator was often covered with pictures of those children as they grew through stages of life. Dolly’s greatest joy in life was the relationship that she shared with her grandsons D.J., Tyler and Noah. She never missed a game or significant milestone. In her most recent years, face-timing became a wonderful way for her to stay present and up to date with her great grandsons Malachi and Simeon as she loved hearing about them and seeing pictures of them.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her husband: Norman Raymond Galli, December 9, 2020; her brother: Frank Migliore; and her sister: Mary “Pippie” Colaber.

Dolly is survived by her three children and spouses: Kathy (Dennis) Damazo, Chippewa Township; Tracy (Alan) Saul Marchionda, Cranberry Township; Chris (Misty) Galli, Monaca; five grandchildren: D.J. (Krisland) Damazo, Phoenixville, PA; Tyler (Megan) Damazo, Cranberry Township; Noah (Emily Bramble) Damazo, Sewickley; Phillip (Emmalee Lavoie) Saul, St. Petersburg, FL; Jonathan “Mitch” (Michelle Wiltshire) Saul, Monaca; two great grandchildren: Malachi and Simeon Damazo; her brother and sister-in-law: Don and Barb Migliore, Florida.

A gathering to celebrate the lives of Dolly and Norman will be held 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Christian Assembly Ohioville, 6241 Tuscarawas Rd, Industry, PA 15052.
