Debra Lynn Couch, 54, of Las Vegas, formerly of Beaver, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011, while under the compassionate care of the staff at Nathan Adelson Hospice. Debra was born June 17, 1956, daughter of the late Roy F. Couch and Rita (Casbourne) Spear.
She has been employed with U.S. Airways for 23 years as a Ramp Agent, beginning in Pittsburgh, to Memphis, Philadelphia and Las Vegas. Previously, she had been employed at Westinghouse, Beaver. Years ago she coached her sister’s Beaver Girl’s Softball Team; and later coached a team with her sister. Debra was a social member of the Chippewa V.F.W. Post.
She is survived by her life partner: Sue Zinsmaster, Las Vegas and Sue’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother: Stephen D. Spear, Hopewell; her sister: Lisa A. Spear, Beaver; and her aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received Monday, February 14, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in the funeral home, with The Rev. David Byers, Vanport Presbyterian Church, officiating. Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
