Ontario, NY/Orange City, FL: Went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 28, 2015.
Passed away peacefully at the age of 93, surrounded by loved ones, at the Leo Center for Caring Hospice, Rochester, NY. Born in Almond, NY, daughter of the late Lynn and Eva Vars of Alfred. She worked as a secretary during WW II at Bell Aircraft in Niagra Falls, NY, then at Alfred University, until marrying Charles R. Dudley in the Alfred Chapel, May 16,1946. In 1959 she was employed as a private secretary for Xerox Corp. for 17yrs. After retiring to Orange City, FL, some of her activities included cross country skiing , bocci, golf (hole in one at The Pines) but most of all loved playing euchre with grandkids at family gatherings. She also sang in choir and played cards, while living her final years at Legacy Willow Pond.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles and her sister, Fran Gorton. Survived by Son, Alan Dudley (Gerri); Granddaughters, Shelly, Madison, Hanna; Grandsons, Andrew, Kelsey. Son Martin (Phyllis)Granddaughter Lona, Helene, Katie, Emma; Nicole (Mark), Grandson Grant (Heather). Daughter Linda; Grandsons Charles, Christopher (Jenn) Sophia, Barron; Granddaughters Jessica; Alexandrea. Naomi (Brian), Elisabeth.
Family will receive friends at Spirit of Grace Fellowship, 12 Maple Ave, Sodus, NY 14551. Calling hours 1:00-2:30pm on Nov. 7th with the Service and Celebration of Life immediately following.
