Martha Gomez Hart

She was born on June 9, 1954, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Celzo and Cleotilde P. Gomez. She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Hart, and sister, Ruth Gomez of Rochester, NY, as well as aunts, Isabella Guerrero of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Luisa Hernandez of Arizona, and many cousins.

After graduating from Indiana University, majoring in Business, she moved to Rochester, NY in the late 1970’s. There she worked for more than 16 years in human resources, including positions at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester and Lincoln First Bank. In the early 1990’s she decided to switch careers and started a commercial painting contracting business. She would go on to become founder and owner of OSO, Inc., and operated the company for over 30 years. The company continues to operate under the direction of her family.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, July 19th, from 4-7pm, at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624, where a prayer service officiated by Fr. John Firpo, will be held at 6:30pm. A private interment will take place in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
