She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Edna Terhaar; sister, Judy Boita, brother, Ron Terhaar; nieces, Jamie Passanisi and Jill Campbell, and in-laws, Joseph & Marion Lill, among others.
She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Dan Lill; her children, Dan (Leslie), Sarah (Roland), and Zac (Deena), 7 grandchildren; brother, Ken (Barb); sister, Mary Lou (Greg); the Sistahs and several brothers-in-law, a large extended family, and many dear friends.
Ever the teacher, Ellen taught reading to people with disabilities. She was an active member of St. Monica Church, and served others through her involvement in many social justice committees. She was also an important part of R Community Bikes.
The family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Monday, April 29th, from 4-7PM, at St. Monica Church, 831 Genesee St., Rochester, NY 14611, at the corner of Monica St, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 30th. Private interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed via livestream at www.stmonicaofrochester.org
