Sharon Lynn (Barker) Creps passed away June 20, 2022 at age 78 at home in Rochester, Michigan after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s. Born February 8, 1944 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Leo and Corrinne (Mantel) Barker. Survived by husband of 58 years Wendell Creps, brother Richard Barker of Naples, Florida, son Eric Creps of Leonard, Michigan, daughter Heather (Creps) Mansfield of Winfield, Alabama, four grandchildren James Mansfield III, Amelia Mansfield, Kaitlyn Creps and Ethan Creps.
An active member of St Paul’s United Methodist Church(SPUMC) in Rochester, Michigan for 50 years teaching Sunday School and serving as a Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader. Sharon and her partner founded Rochester Business Associates, Inc. with several employees serving many clients. After sale of the business, Sharon joined the Charter Township of Oakland and served as elected Treasurer for more than 20 years, collecting taxes, managing investments, guiding the development of the township and serving on the boards of the Older Person’s Commission and Paint Creek Trail.
Fondly known to her family as “The World’s Best Mimi”, Sharon was the foundation of the family and her influence and memories will be with us forever.
Interment will be at SPUMC Memorial Garden. In lieu of monetary contributions to institutions, Sharon would want you to commit to supporting and loving those near and dear to you.
Details managed by Pixley Funeral Home, Rochester Michigan. Services will be held at SPUMC Tuesday, July 12, 10-11 AM visitation, 11 AM Service, followed by a luncheon at the church.
