Shari was born in Pontiac, Michigan on December 2nd 1968, She graduated from Smyrna High School in 1987 and went on to graduate from cosmetology school.
In Shari’s early life she found a great passion for hairdressing. Shari would often be the stylist for many family members and friends, along with her regular clientele. She also enjoyed swimming and would teach swimming lessons as well as becoming a lifeguard throughout high school. Shari was a longtime worker in the mortgage industry at various companies as well as the title industry later on in her life. She was an avid contributor for the Alzheimer's Association and had a passion for art, gardening, and animals. Shari kept busy in her free time with puzzles, home cooked meals with friends and family, and traveling. Shari was a wonderful baker and often shared her passion by teaching her daughter how to bake alongside her. Shari loved to share her fresh garden grown produce with family, friends, and coworkers. In Shari’s later life she found fun and happiness in art and music.
She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Jean Green of Grand Rapids, her father Wayne Milton Abke of Otisville, and her brother Scott Milton Abke of Grand Rapids. She is survived by her daughter, Xandrea Nicole Kirk of Rochester Hills, and her many caring and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Shari found her true joy in being a mother. She will be remembered for her strength and resilience, her contagious laughter, and her strong spirit.
