He was born in Jackson, Michigan on June 22, 1951. Phil graduated from Michigan Center High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State. He was married to Nancy G. Shannon, Ph.D. on June 14, 1980. Phil had a career in Supply Chain Management in the Automotive industry. He enjoyed watching sports, reading, the news, and listening to music.
Phil is survived by his wife Nancy Shannon, his children Kathryn Shannon (Timothy Sierz), Christopher Shannon (Eric Russo), his grandchildren Akira Sierz and Tatsuya Sierz, and his brother Matt Shannon.
A Memorial Visitation for Philip will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307. Instate will occur at 10am Saturday, October 5, 2024, until the time of the 11am service at St Paul's United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Rd, Rochester, Michigan 48307.
Philip will be laid to rest in Pointe Aux Pins, Bois Blanc Island, Michigan.
