Age 64. Died peacefully at her residence on April 1, 2025. Monique “Mo” is the loving wife of Shawn; mother of Gregory (Sandra), Thomas (Kathryn), Kimberly, and Audrey; grandmother of Elijah (15), Jesse (13), Sofia (13), Simon (11), and Lucy (7); sister of Michele (James), Martina (Edzu), Michael (Linnea), Kathy (Keith), Kelley (Gary), Karen (Doug), and Kristina (Steve); she is preceded in death by her brother Mark (Terri–widow), father William, and mother Barbara.

To know “Mo” was to love her, that is without a doubt. She opened her heart and home to everyone she met. She spent her best years serving individuals and families with special needs by providing in-home respite care, as well as providing a foster home for multiple children within the state foster care system over the course of many years. If her home had been the size of her heart, she’d have still found a way to fill it to capacity. She had a passion for serving the underserved, and always rooted for the underdog. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a devoted wife, and the most thoughtful and caring friend anyone could ever have. She will truly be missed.

Visiting hours have been arranged For Wednesday, April 9th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Pixley Funeral Home (322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307) A sharing of memories will be held at 7:00 PM.
