Joseph Edwin Froehlich passed away on December 9, 2022 at the age of 87. He was born on November 25, 1935 in Detroit, MI. He lived in Fraser, Clinton Twp, Metamora, Rochester Hills, and Auburn Hills. He married his wife Shirley on October 4, 1958 and they had 52 wonderful years together until her passing in 2011. Joe was a skilled carpenter and owned his own business, Joe’s Carpentry. It wasn’t just a job for him, he loved carpentry as a hobby as well. He was a hardworking, family loving, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, uncle, and brother. Joe was the first to tell you he had the BEST life. He enjoyed the simple life and was loved by all his “squirts”. He really loved spending quality time by the lake.
He is survived by his children Karen (Nick) Pfeffer, Kim (Guy) Hall, Cindy Peters, Joe (Lynne) Froehlich Jr, and his son-in-law Dan Berd who was married to his daughter Vicky; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and his sisters Rita Kulawik and Rosalie (Pat) Moreau.
He is predeceased by his daughter Vicky Berd, his father Raymond Froehlich, and his mother Pauline Froehlich, and his five brothers.
A memorial visitation for Joseph will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St Irenaeus Catholic Church, 771 Old Perch Rd, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 AM.
