Jack was born the son of Angelo and Anna (Savino) Tassiello in Bronx, New York on July 23, 1929. Jack grew up taking on a wide range of jobs delivering flowers and groceries, garbage man, managing rental units, and working in the merchant marines. He joined the Army and served during the occupation of Japan. Jack had a career as a machinist. He was married first to Elsie Pierce until her passing. He later met Blanche Yost on the Springbrook Golf Course and the two were married on October 26, 1990 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb, Michigan.
Jack and Blanche moved to Springhill, Florida from 1993 to 2013, enjoying the golf communities at Brooksville and then Southern Woods Country Clubs. Jack loved movies and was fond of bowling in his younger years.
Jack is survived by his wife Blanche Tassiello; son Michael (Mary) Tassiello; granddaughter Alyssa (Joshua) Lee; great-grandson Liam Lee; step-daughter Gerrie Castonguay; step-grandson Jeffrey (Jennifer) Dixon, step-great-granddaughter Jacqueline Dixon; nephew Joseph (Peggy) Tassiello and niece Vicki(Daniel) Gainor. Jack was predeceased by his parents and brothers Francisco and Joseph Tassiello.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday November 29th, 2024 from 10:30am until the time of the memorial service at 11:30am at GoodLife Lutheran Church, located at 1892 East Auburn Road in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Interment will be held at 2pm. At Great Lakes National Cemetery located at 4200 Belford Road in Holly, Michigan
