Daryl graduated from Rochester high school in 1975. Following graduation, he began his career with General Motors Corporation. While at GM he became a Certified Safety Officer. His career spanned Detroit, Michigan, Jacksonville, Florida and Clover, SC where he retired in 2014. In addition to a full career, Daryl was also the owner/operator of a successful remodeling business. Daryl had the capability to develop unique solutions to any challenge presented to him.
Daryl loved life with enthusiasm, an open mind and a never-ending desire to do more, see more, experience more and learn more. He travelled near and far and took pleasure in it all; from paragliding off the cliffs of New Zealand to the local strawberry festival. Whether at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City or the antique motor festival, he loved learning about it all. He spent many happy hours camping, biking, hiking, swimming and bird watching. He took great pleasure in music, theater, astronomy and more.
Daryl loved everyone. He did not have an enemy. He forgave freely and always. If Daryl could be of service he would always choose to be; to his family, to his friends and to his church, Lakeshore Christian Fellowship of Tega Cay, SC. He had a special heart for the homeless. Inviting them to eat with him, providing for their needs and praying with them. His heart reached all the way to Bolivia where he raised the money to build a large church. Daryl’s greatest wish was that his family, friends and all he knew would come to know Jesus as he had.
Today a good man went to heaven.
