Cedric James Richardson

Cedric was born the son of James and Alice Richardson in Cuba City, Wisconsin on April 1st, 1949. He graduated from Portage High School, class of 1967. Cedric earned his associates degree at Madison Area Technical College. He married Susan Cecilia Hendricks on May 6th, 1972 in Cuba City. Cedric and Susan raised their family in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Cedric had a forty year career in information technology at EDS and HP.

Cedric loved golfing and his family. He enjoyed long road trips, and was known for always taking the long way home. Cedric also enjoyed watching western movies, tending his lawn and feeding a variety of wild birds.

Cedric is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Susan; children Stacy Marie (Brian) Mulloy, Sarah Elizabeth (Todd) Kay, Catherine Susanne (Paul) Patra, and Brett Charles (Theresa) Richardson; nine grandchildren William, Penelope, and Piper Kay; Bennett and Lily Patra, Ava, Ethan, Olivia, and Adeline Richardson; sister Debra Rae (Marc) Harding; as well as beloved extended family.

Cedric’s family will welcome all to a memorial gathering on Friday April 28th, 2023 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
