Bonnie always found a moment to support, smile, laugh, hug, share, console, teach, and elevate. She found unexpected ways to lift one's spirits. Her little surprises often reached deep into the heart, calming, soothing and could make you feel like you were the most important person in the world. Bonnie created a "Comfort Package" program in which she quietly sent well wishes, small gifts and "TLC" to her colleagues and their family members who were ill or experienced a significant life-changing event. She was a recipient of the firm's Achievements in Excellence award in 2002 and the Founder's Award in 2006. In addition to the recognition that she was given within the firm, others outside the firm became aware of the Comfort Package program that she developed. As a result, in November 2000, Bonnie was given the RARE Award for Service Excellence. The RARE (Reliability, Assurance, Responsiveness and Empathy) Foundation recognizes and rewards heroes in the workplace. A natural and genuine care-giver, She began volunteering and donating to various organizations that truly touched her heart. At a young age she began volunteering at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester as a Candy Striper, visiting patients and helping anyone in her path. Over the years she gave regularly to The Salvation Army, sent care packages overseas to soldiers and donated to Walter Reed Hospital helping patients from all branches of the military.
