Born to John and Alice (Bolderson) Haselden in London, England on October 1, 1938, Alice spent the first 13 years of her life in Wigan, England. The family moved to Michigan and settled in Detroit. She attended Denby High School and graduated Pershing High School in 1956. After high school she pursued a career as an executive secretary, getting her first job with Gorham Tool Company. She then worked at American Motors until 1969. Alice met Charles Pearson through the Michigan Bell Ski Club. They married on August 9, 1968 and had two children, Karen and Craig. Alice and Charles raised their family first in Troy and then Rochester Hills. Alice became a US citizen in 1957, but was always proud of her English heritage. Throughout her life she made friends and family a priority. The friendships she made lasted a lifetime. Her family and friends will always remember her drive and ability, often diving into projects with the utmost dedication and skill. This was expressed in her work, sewing, knitting, and genealogy.
Alice is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles Pearson; children Karen (Matthew Wright) Pearson, Craig Pearson; grandchildren Calder and Lark Wright; siblings John (Genevieve) Haselden and William Haselden.
In accordance with Alice's wishes, services will be held privately.
