William Jerome Allen

William Jerome "Jerry" Allen, aged 61, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on August 29, 2024. Born on February 7, 1963, in Roanoke, VA, Jerry was known for his selfless, hardworking, loving, kind, and caring nature. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Ashley Allen and Brittany Klepeisz, and son-in-law Matthew Klepeisz and Michael Smith. He was a cherished grandfather, aka “Poppy”, to Amberlyn and Tessa (Ashley), Grace, Michael, and Abigail (Brittany). He leaves behind his father, William Allen, and mother, Mary Jane Allen; his sisters and their spouses, Sonya and Ricky Carter, Debbie and Keith Blankenship, Missy and Dave Sutler; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wendy Allen. A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5731 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012. His funeral service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012 on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jerry's memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Roanoke Valley SPCA, or the American Cancer Society. The Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Roanoke, VA, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
