Lance had an adventurous spirit and a passion for life. There was nothing that he wouldn’t try. He brought out the excitement and beauty in everything and everyone he came in contact with. Lance was a natural athlete and excelled at any sport he tried, but his ultimate passion was football. From the time Lance could walk, he wanted to be just like his big brother Jacoby. He loved watching him play football and couldn’t wait for his turn. With his unstoppable dedication, passion, and defensive skills, #35 helped numerous teams to victory. He always looked forward to watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Utah football games with Diego and his brothers. He enjoyed cheering on the Utah Jazz with his brother Lane, sister Bailee, dad, and grandfather. The only thing Lance liked better than watching these sports teams, was watching his brother Cord play sports. Lance loved watching Cord play football, basketball,
and baseball and was Cord’s biggest sports fan and critic.
Lance had a huge heart, an infectious smile, and a laugh that would light up the room. His contagious personality captivated every person he came in contact with and he was sure to make an impact in some way. Lance made everything and everyone he came in contact with more beautiful and if you were fortunate enough to know him, your life is better because of his presence.
Lance loved hard with all his heart and soul, and anyone that was lucky enough to be loved by him, felt a deep love like no other. He fiercely loved and was dedicated to his mother, who was his biggest fan. He reminded her ALL THE TIME “You mean the world to me.” His bear hugs were one-of-a-kind and when Lance gave you one, you could feel his love from your head to your toes. He was fiercely protective of his family and friends and made it his life’s mission to care for and protect the ones he loved. Lance is loved by so many and will be forever loved and missed by all those who knew him.
Lance is survived by his father and stepmother Chad and TJ Moyes, his mother and stepfather Marsha and Diego Cardenas; his brothers Jacoby Fowler, Lane (Erika) Moyes, Cord Cardenas, Lincoln Moyes and Lyric Moyes; his sister Bailee Moyes: his grandparents Craig Moyes, JaNean Ellis and Kent Mitchell; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lance was preceded in death by his grandmother Margaret Mitchell.
