Piddie, a beloved brother and friend, is survived by his older sister Stacy Andrews, brothers Mark Scott (Erin Scott) and Dayne MacKenzie (Morgan McDaniel), his niece Jessamy, nephews Konstantyne and Balthazar, and countless chosen family and friends.
Piddie was a talented storyteller who enjoyed playing games and brought hours upon hours of joy to those who knew not only him but the characters that he filled with life.
Piddie was born on October 17, 1984, ruining his sister’s sleepover, a story he loved telling every year. He would be the first to say that his childhood was a troubled one, and he lost his mother early at the age of 13. A fact that you only learned by making the ever-unfortunate “your mom” joke.
He was determined to move forward and live his life on his terms, which didn’t always work out how he had intended. He took life adventures to Washington State, Idaho, and to the Deep South, always making friends along the way.
He lived his life as fully and completely as he could. Yet no matter how far he got from home, he always found his way back. He had every reason to be a bitter person and instead, he radiated joy and happiness to whoever he met. He had a rare gift for kindness that only someone who lived such a life can have, a gift he shared liberally.
Piddie, Dan, however you knew him, was a loving, funny, and humble person who left us all with so many unfinished stories, inside jokes, and a hole in our home and hearts.
We love you Piddie. We miss you so much.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
