Shirley Cecil Anderson passed away on September 10th, 2012 at the age of 72. He was born on October 15, 1939 in Dallas, Texas and was a resident of Fontana, CA for the last 10 years. Shirley worked for Food Giant from 1961-1964, Smith's Food King from 1964-1985 and Stater Bros from 1985-1995 and received a 35 year Grocery Employment Award. He was a specialist in the California Army National Guard from Feb. 23, 1950-Feb. 22, 1961. He was a member of United Food Commercial Workers (1961-1995) and Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church (10 years).
Shirley is survived by his wife, Gwen Anderson of Fontana, CA, sons Eric Anderson of Fontana, CA and Darren Anderson of Clarkston, Washington, sister Joanne Hendricks, 4 grandchildren Jonathon, Jordan, Jamaal, Trey and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
