Scott was born in Newport Beach, CA on September 18, 1984, to Mark and Sue Thompson. He attended Friends Christian Elementary, El Rancho Middle School, when he earned his first-degree black belt in karate, and graduated from Canyon High School in 2003 where he was on the water polo team all four years. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity while attending Cal. Scott started his career in Real Estate at CB Richard Ellis as a Research Analyst. In 2010 he joined CCMI in Riverside, CA where he worked alongside his father, Mark Thompson. After the passing of his father in August of 2021, Scott successfully carried on his father’s legacy managing CCMI and took great pride in carrying out his father’s business ethics, standards, and values.
Scott was a dear friend to many and took pride in his relationships that he made from grade school through college. He enjoyed planning events with friends including traveling, hosting Sunday football parties, movie nights, entertaining friends in his backyard, grilling and cooking and being with loved ones.
Scott was always very generous with his family, friends, and employees. He truly enjoyed giving thoughtful and meaningful gifts to the people in his life. He found joy in making others happy and being there for those he held dear to his heart.
Scott had an entrepreneurial mind at a young age and created Epic Connections selling t-shirts and sweatshirts to local businesses. Scott had many interests in life and always enjoyed learning and growing. He loved golfing, gardening, cooking, technology, watching movies, reading, and was a big wine enthusiast. He was a loyal Rams fan and experienced a major highlight watching them win the Super Bowl this year.
Scott is survived by his mother, Sue Thompson, his sister and brother-in-law, Allison and Bill Meyer, his niece and nephew Emily and Ryan Meyer, and his niece and nephew Sophia and Tanner Thompson from his late brother Michael Thompson.
He is preceded by his great grandmother Laura Batcha, his grandparents, Sylvia Sherwin and Jerome and Bonnie Thompson, and Beverly and Lawrence Johnston, his aunt Julie Sherwin, his father Mark Thompson, and his brother Michael Thompson.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00AM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504
