teenager, Mary, a Candy Striper, volunteered at Riverside County Hospital.

of becoming a nurse and enrolled in the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)) program at Riverside
Community College.

belief that “a daddy and the boys will always be boys” Mary did not become disenchanted. Mary
& Johnny were b;essed with a beautiful bundle of joy, Linda “Marlene” the “twinkle of her
mother’s“eyes and the beat of her heart!”
Mary was tireless, sometimes working 16 hours a day to support the efforts and educational
pursuits of Linda’s graduation from Cal Poly Pomona, Loma LInda University, and the
opportunity to study abroad in Paris, France.
In 2015, Mary, after 50 years retired as a geriatrics nurse from Bradswell’s Colonial Care.
