Louise Bennett

She was born Annie Louise Thompson on September 30, 1927 in Concho County, Texas to William Martin Thompson, Sr. and Lela Mae (Sheffield) Thompson. She married O.D. Bennett January 1, 1948 in Brownwood. They celebrated 50 years of marriage. She spent her younger years in Concho County. Her teen years were spent in Brown County, where she graduated from Brownwood High School and Brownwood Business College. In 1955 Louise and Oliver (O.D.) moved to California to raise their family. She enjoyed needlework, sewing, and cooking. Louise was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Cochella Chapter #360.

Louise is survived by her son, Rick Bennett of Norco, CA, her daughter, Becky Thrall and husband Rance, of Corona, CA, brother Herman Thompson of Brownwood, TX, sister-in-law, Billie Sue Adamson, Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren, Alicia Phillips and husband Steve, of Glen Rose, TX, Matthew Bennett of TX., Donnadee Thrall Waibel of Corona, CA, Michelle Thrall of Corona, CA., great grandchildren, Mason, Camryn and Lucas of Glen Rose, TX, and Mackaylah of Corona, CA and also many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son- Oliver D. (Bob) Bennett, Jr., and three brothers- Bill, Milton, and Jim Thompson.

Services will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside, California. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 10,2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
