George Frank Lara

George was raised by his mother, Helene and his maternal grandparents, Alice Lorona and Angelo Medina in Corona, California. He attended Garretson Elementary School and Corona Junior and Senior High School and some college.

He worked as food broker for Bromar for most of his career.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Wendy (Huber) Lara. George and Wendy have made Moreno Valley their home for over 35 years. He is also survived by his children and their spouses: Cheri (Lara) MacDonald & Kris Hernandez of Atlanta, GA; Michael & Tanyha (Precidado) Lara, of Victorville, CA; and Heather Lara, of Moreno Valley, CA. His grandchildren: Nathaniel Lara, Esperanza Lara, Michael Lara, Jr., Santiago Lara, Rebbekkah Lara, and Kayleen Lara.

A funeral service for George will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505, followed by a committal service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
