EDMOND PAUL COUTURE Age 86, passed away on May 1, 2012 at Long Beach VA Hospital. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to his late parents, Joe and Hilda Couture. He was a resident of Riverside for 41 years. Proudly finishing the 8th grade, Edmond retired from Hartwell Corporation as a punch press operator. Edmond was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army earning the rank of Private First Class. He was a very proud veteran who served during World War II. He was a loyal parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for many years. Edmond was a devoted family man and will be missed by all those who knew him! Edmond was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Couture; his sister, Mary Kreutzer; and his brothers, Joseph and Eugene Couture. He is survived by his sons, Raymond and Ronald Couture; his grandson, Justin M. Couture, all of Riverside; and his brother, Bernard Couture of Parma, Ohio. A visitation will be held on May 8, 2012 from 5-8p.m., with a rosary at 6:30p.m., at Acheson & Graham Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave. A Mass will be held on May 9, 2012, 10:00a.m., at St. Thomas Church, 3774 Jackson St. A committal service with military honors will be at Riverside National Cemetery immediately following at 12:00p.m., staging area #1.
