Charles Earl Evans Jr.

CHARLES EARL EVANS JR. Passed away on 04/08/2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born October 11th, 1923 to Charles and Edith Evans in Audubon Iowa. Charles was married to Margaret Mae Evans. They lived and raised their children in Riverside, California until Margaret's passing in 1989. Charles is survived by his brother Richard Evans of Audubon, Iowa, sister Dorothy Evans of Honolulu, Hawaii, three children Linda Grantham, Scott Evans, daughter in law Charlotte and Rebecca Evans, 3 grandchildren: Jason Grantham & wife Cecilia of Apple Valley, Jennifer Plunkett & husband Twan of San Diego and Raylene Seiber and husband Andy of Riverside and 9 great grandchildren. Charles served in the United States Army during World War II attaining the rank of Sergeant. After being discharged from the military Charles settled in Riverside to raise his family and worked in the lumber business for 40 plus years until his retirement. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Acheson and Graham Mortuary in Riverside. Funeral services to be held 04/13/2012, 12:30pm Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA 92518 (951) 653-8417 where he will be awarded military honors. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the ceremony at the home of Scott Evans in Menifee.
