CHARLES DELBERT BROOKS Age 91, went to be with his Lord March 18, 2013. The eldest of 3 children of Albert and Elma Brooks was born Nov. 3, 1921 in Mound City, Kansas, lived in Riverside all of his adult life. Was married to Bessie (Lovan) Brooks 64 years, until her death in 2010. Then survived by daughters, Carol Stewart (Bill) and Gladi Human; grandchildren Jim Stewart (Gretchen Menn), Ben Stewart (Deborah), Aaron Stewart (Bree), Jesse Human (Rebecca), Evan Human, Hannalee Human; great-grandchildren Brandon Nascimento and Penelope Human; brothers George Brooks (Ethel), Frank Lovan (Shirley); sisters Wanda Fraley, Alice Ricker (Don), Lorene Lovan, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Charles served in the Coast Guard in WWII, and was employed by A.M. Lewis in Riverside for 40 years. He faithfully served at First Baptist Church, Riverside, as a deacon and purchasing agent and at Renewal Christian Fellowship, Moreno Valley, as a deacon and treasurer. Visitation will be held Thurs, March 28 from 5pm-8pm at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer. Interment at Riverside National Cemetery, Fri, March 29, 10:30am, with full military honors.
