Harry Lee Brim Sr.

Harry Lee “Fuzzy” Brim, Sr., 83, of Bassett, died Monday February 2, 2015 at Martinsville Memorial Hospital. He was born in Henry County on April 24, 1931 to the late Harry Dillard Brim and Sarah Jane Fulcher Brim. He had worked with American Furniture Company and later retired from Hooker Furniture Company where he worked as a machine operator. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ginny Prillaman, Katherine Mullins, Hazel Kelly and Annie Brim. Surviving are two sons, Harry L. “JR.” Brim, Jr. of Bassett and Freddie Joe Brim, Sr, of Collinsville, one daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Brim Castaneda, four sisters, Elsie Brim of Martinsville, Hester Head of Collinsville, Irene Fulcher of Bassett and Jean Lawson of Martinsville, one brother, Alvin “Buck” Staples Brim of Martinsville, Three grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the Celebration of Life Service which will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in the Community Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Carson Williams and Minister Donald Kendrick officiating. Interment will be in the Henry Memorial Gardens with pallbearers being Jr, Brim, Freddie Brim, Joey Brim, Brandon Bailey, Lewis Underwood and Ken Harris.
