Rosalind was born in Leakesville, Mississippi, in 1935. In 1959, she married C.W. Miller, Jr. After several years in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi, they settled in the Jackson area in 1970.
Rosalind was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also an excellent cook, a beautiful hostess, and an elegant lady. She took great joy in choosing and presenting delightful gifts to the people she loved, and her traditional Christmas Eve dinners became the highlight of the holidays to her family.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson for many years, and, in her later years, Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church of Ridgeland.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, C.W. (Sonny) Miller, Jr., her daughter Stefanie Miller of Madison, and sons Todd Miller and wife Michelle of Richmond, Virginia, and Jason Miller and wife Allison of Madison. She also leaves behind her dearly loved grandchildren: Eric Miller, Scott Miller and wife Abbey, Thomas Miller, and Julia Miller.
The family wishes to thank Everett Kendrick, Ashley Ramage, and the entire Mama Hamil’s family for their friendship over the past eight years. They also want to express their gratitude to the kind medical staffs of Dr. Rebekah Moulder and Dr. Amanda Fowler, and to Covenant Caregivers for their wonderful care.
Visitation will be at Parkway Funeral Home on Thursday, March 24, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m., with a funeral service immediately following in the Parkway Funeral Home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 39703.
