Norma Carroll was born in Jackson and was the daughter of the late Mary Virginia and Z. Duncan Davis. After graduating from M.S.C.W. she became a well-loved and honored teacher in Hinds and Madison counties. Norma Carroll came to call Madison home and embraced the community with a full heart and giving spirit. Norma Carroll was a former member of the Debutante Club of
Mississippi, The First Families of Mississippi, The Society of Colonial Dames, Annandale Chapter of D.A.R., Madison County Republican Women, Madison United Methodist Church, leader of Girl Scout Troop 321 and the founder and first president of the Junior Auxiliary of Madison Ridgeland. Her fun-loving, kind-heartedness was felt by everyone from the children she taught, to the
friends she made, and to most of all, her family.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Dewitt Ezell; her daughters Rebecca Norma Carroll Ezell and Emily Caroline Ezell Sartin; her grandson, Duncan Davis Sartin; her son in law, Daniel Steve Sartin; and her cousin who was like her sister, Alison Myers Brown.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to either The Girl Scout Council of Greater Mississippi, the Junior Auxiliary of Madison Ridgeland, or the Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
