

A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, Clinton Boulevard in Jackson on Monday, April 21 at 11:00 am.
Mrs. Buchanan was born August 21, 1926 in Ocala, Florida, to Maude Connor and Jere Fairchild Harrison, and moved to Jackson with her family in 1928. She attended public school in Jackson, graduating from Central High School in 1944, and graduated from Belhaven College in 1948. She was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. She was a licensed Real Estate Broker and Realtor for close to 20 years and was also retired from the Jackson Redevelopment Authority.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jere Dial Harrison, and his wife, Jacquilyn Crumpton; and her former husband, Tom D. Buchanan.
Survivors are her daughter, Sarah Buchanan Ellis and her husband Franklin of Canton, Mississippi; sons, James Harrison Buchanan and his wife Giselle of Camarillo, California and William Thomas Buchanan and his wife Mary Margaret of Madison, Mississippi; grandsons, Jeffrey Taylor Ellis and his wife Eleanor of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Thomas Cole Ellis of Canton, Mississippi and Ryan James Buchanan of Camarillo, California; step-grandson, Steven Cobilich of California; granddaughters, Rebekah Ellis Turner and her husband Josh of Pocahontas, Mississippi and Sophie Marie Buchanan of Camarillo, California; great grandson, Avery Turner; great granddaughters, Laney Kate Turner and Taylor Ellis; nephews, Douglas Baker Harrison and his wife Jill of Bangkok, Thailand and David Wayne Harrison and his wife Judy of Phoenix, Arizona; and niece, Wanda Harrison Silva and her husband Larry of Spring, Texas; and several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1390 North State Street, Jackson, Mississippi 39202, or to a charity of your choosing.
