Judy Dianne White, 65, died Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at her home in Ridgeland, MS. A celebration of life will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, 4:00 P.M. at Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church in Byram, MS.
Judy was born in Jackson, MS to Verlin and Nolin Cook on March 3, 1959. Judy graduated from Wingfield High School in 1977. Furthering Judy's education, she obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Millsaps College, where she was also a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Upon graduation in 1981, she won the Founders Medal for the highest grade point average of her class. Judy started her career as an accountant at Deposit Guaranty where she worked several years. She then started working at Cellular South, now known as C-Spire, as an accountant, eventually working her way to Senior Vice President of the company where she retired in 2020.
Judy married the love of her life, Roger White on July 15, 1978. The couple welcomed son Jason Tyler and then daughter Amy Lauren. Judy was dedicated to her family. She loved spending vacations with them on a beach, in the mountains, or cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels. She was a devout Christian and member of Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church for many years where she served as treasurer and choir member. Judy was an exceptional artist and spent her spare time painting and tending to her flowers.
Judy is survived by her mother Verlin Cook of Oxford, MS; brother David Cook (Donna) of Omaha, NE.; Son Jason White (Kristi) of Oxford, MS; Daughter Amy Lee (Kendal) of Madison, MS; nephew Brad (Jessica) of Omaha, NE.; five beautiful granddaughters Sydney Grace White, Harper Lane White, Ava Lynn White, Kennedy Leigh White, and Maeve Judith Lee; and multiple in-laws.
Judy is preceded in death by her father Nolin Cook; beloved husband, Roger White; nephew, Andrew Cook.
