Bonnie Jewell Sills passed away at her residence in Madison, MS on August 12, 2022. She was born on September 19, 1935, to Hughey and Bessie Swindoll. Visitation will be August 16, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral service officiated by Dr. Jay Richardson will be held August 17, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. Music provided by Shirley Marshall. Both visitation and Funeral Service will be at Parkway Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Park, 6011 Clinton Boulevard.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Sills, of Madison. She is also survived by her daughters, Connie Georgen, and Rhonda Rush, and by her son, Mike Georgen, and his wife Sandra. Surviving grandchildren are Sonya (Chad) Falgout, Dustin (Sabrina) Georgen, Matthew Georgen, Tim (Sonya) Jenkins, and Becky (Trey) Tucker. Also, six great grandchildren. She was survived by her sisters Amy Srickland, Janice Swindoll and Bobbie Jean Rutledge. Her sister-in-law, Mrs. Charlotte Sills Mann, also survives her.
Mrs. Sills was predeceased by her parents Hughey and Bessie Swindoll and sisters, Faye Langford, Ann Perringer, Bernice Riddell and Sue Williamson, and her brother, Everett Swindoll.
Bonnie also loved and cared for Charlie’s children Debbie, Wanda Jo, Cathy, Jennifer, and Joel (deceased) and seven grandchildren.
Bonnie's love for her children and grandchildren was witnessed by her hospitality and cooking abilities that brought many to her table with a thankful heart. She had that unique capability of cooking the most wonderful cakes that have been enjoyed by so many. Bonnie and the love of her life, Charlie, we're blessed with a long and happy marriage.
Mrs. Sills was a longtime member of Highland Colony Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was an active member in other ministries as well. She also taught an adult Sunday School Class at Southside Baptist Church for many years. She will be missed by her many friends.
