Thomas Randolph Jr “Randy" Guthrie, of Quinton, VA, passed away peacefully and surrounded with love on September 20, 2015 at the age of 49 after an almost 2 month long health battle. Randy is survived by his loving wife, Phoniex Guthrie; children, Delayna Guthrie, Todd Guthrie, Ryan Guthrie, Amanda Reece; father, Thomas Randolph Guthrie Sr; mother, Mildred Powers Brock; step-mother, Kitty Guthrie; brother, Josh Fisher; sisters, Katie Guthrie, Sherry Guthrie Foreman, Kim Allen; 2 grandaughters, 5 grandsons, cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and many friends. We will forever remember your smile, your laugh and the love you had for your family and friends. Gone but never forgotten. We R.GuthrieStrong. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 2pm. Visitation and funeral service will both be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231. In honor of the love Randy had for building and racing mud trucks, the scattering of his ashes will take place on October 10 at the 11th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog which takes place at The Pit – Virginia Motor Speedway.
