Richard Davis Riviere

RIVIERE, Richard Davis (Rick), 61, passed away on May 26, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Linda, son Christopher (Stefanie) and grandson Hunter, his mother, Carolyn, and father, Neb, his sister, Susan Jewell, and niece Lindsay and nephew Zachary, and his constant companion Riggins. Rick was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming April 14, 1953 where his father was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. Later the family moved to Virginia. Rick attended Douglas Freeman H.S. where he played football and basketball. He also attended Randolph Macon College. While in school he made many friends and enjoyed life. Following school, he found his calling in sales, first in the insurance business then later in wholesale foods. Rick found great joy and fulfillment in teaching Sunday school at Derbyshire Baptist Church. He touched many lives and made a lasting impact on his students. A memorial service will be held at Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Rd., Richmond, Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2pm. Condolences may be offered at woodyfuneralhomeparham. Com.
