Mary Ellen Henson

Mary E. Henson, 82, of Salem, VA passed away on January 9, 2017, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Henson Sr.; her parents; several brothers and sisters and is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Britt and her husband Nelson; step-sons, Claude Henson Jr and wife Vickie, Jeffrey Henson, John “Jody” Henson and wife Becky; “almost daughter”, Missy Roberts and husband Jerry. Mary is also survived by grandchildren, Mary Britt, Michelle Britt Mason and husband Jonathan, Alicia Botts and husband Danny, Cameron and Brooks Henson, Justin Henson and wife Elizabeth; “almost grandchildren”, Jenny and Dustin Roberts; “great grandson”, Parker Roberts; sister, Betty Eversole; brother, Bobby Eversole and a host of other family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., at Stonehenge Golf and Country Club, Richmond, VA. The family will also be hosting a reception immediately following for fellowship at Stonehenge. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the SPCA in her honor.
