She was born on September 5, 1927, the daughter of Mary and Churchill Addison.
Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin L. Seay, Sr., her second husband, Raymond E. Farmer, and her great-grandson, Andrew Eddins.
She is survived by her son, Marvin L. Seay, Jr., (Cappy), and her daughters, Susan Seay Tinsley (Harold) and Mary Seay Plunkert (Steven); her beloved grandchildren, Taylor Seay, Jennifer Tinsley Blake (Bob), Sarah Tinsley Eddins (Kevin), Steven Plunkert, Jr. (Amber), Zachary Plunkert (Katie), and Tucker Plunkert; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Blake, Matthew Blake, Savannah Eddins, Brady Eddins, Davis Eddins, and Alma Coralyn Plunkert; step-children, Carol Farmer Rash (Bob); and step-grandchildren, Scott Rash and Brittany Rash. She always said her great-grandchildren were an added plus.
Mary was a long time member of Ridge Baptist Church where she taught High School youth, took her turn keeping the nursery, and had many friends. There were four of them that went to lunch almost Sunday. They called themselves the “Golden Girls.” She enjoyed a full life and was happy in her own home until the end.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, January 20 at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. The funeral will be at 11 AM on Thursday, January 21 at Woody Funeral Home, Burial will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park beside her darling sweetheart, Marvin, and beside her precious great-grandson, whom she is looking forward to seeing in heaven.
