He retired as a machinist with 48 years of service with AMF and was a Korean War Veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving on the USS Iowa. He was a member of Carlisle Baptist Church and the American Legion and enjoyed reading and playing Bingo.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife of 65 years, Joyce M. Wagner.
He is survived by his children, Wanda Cosley, Teresa Armato (Tony) and Cynthia Grant (Kenny); grandchildren, Ian Cosley, Eric Cosley (Melinda), Ryan Grant (Emily) and Brittany Needham (Mike); great-grandchildren, Conor Grant and Brody Grant; and many additional friends and family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park.
