June Marie Mitchell

June Marie Mitchell, age 85, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. June was born June 17, 1936 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Edgar A. Carter and Mary Evelyn Carter (Martin).

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Ferguson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Allen P. Ferguson Jr., Diana L. Pierce, William J. Ferguson, Steven C. Ferguson (Tess); grandchildren, Angel Welch (Jeremy), Christopher Pierce Sr. (Tracy), David Yunkun, April Yunkun, William J. Ferguson Jr. (Kayla), Alyssa Ferguson, Steven Tyler Ferguson; great grandchildren, Kelsie M. Welch, Jakob Welch, Kaylee Pierce, Donovan Pierce, Christopher Pierce Jr., Skylar Lynn Gregory, Greyson Ferguson, Gabriella Moveira, Easton Gregory.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231, with a Funeral Service set to begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
