Mead, John L., of New Kent, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Mead Ramos; and father, Orville “Tune” Mead. John retired from computer services with IBM and Time Life. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Kittatinny 164, in Branchville, NJ, for 50 years and also a member of Vincent Motorcycle Club. John is survived by his mother, Helena Mead; his wife, Theresa Mead; children, Lauren and Jonathan Mead; three grandchildren, Jolene Mead Corcoran, Kaelyn Mead Corcoran, and Alice Mead Corcoran; sister, Jennie Costanzo Mills (Gary); nephew, Garret Costanzo (Debbie); and niece, Brie-Ann Costanzo. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231; where a funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breast Cancer Research.
