IN THE CARE OF
Woody Funeral Home-Parham
John Wallace Ferrall passed away peacefully in his home of 34 years in Henrico County Virginia at age 70 after a noble battle with Progressive Supraneuclear Palsy (PSP).
John spent the majority of his childhood in Bristol, Tennessee. He moved with his loyal wife and three children to Richmond, VA in 1983.
John served in the US Army, had a long career as a copier service technician with Xerox, Cannon, and Kodak, owned his own building maintenance and landscaping business, was a hard worker, and a fast learner.
He had a love for classic country, cars, guitars, guns, knives, boating, water sports, attending church, studying the Bible, and spending time with his family. In his early retirement years, he enjoyed splitting wood for his wood burning stove, watching Raw Hide, eating Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, and serving his church community at Monument Heights Baptist Church.
John is predeceased by his mother Polly Ann Ferrall, and his brother Laurin Eugene Ferrall. John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Joanne Marie (Cantwell) Ferrall, cherished daughter and son in law, Anne Marie and Lee Tavish Biedrycki, his cherished daughter and son in law Kristine Renee and Lucas Ryan Parrish, his cherished son and daughter in law John Bass and Arianna Irais Ferrall, and his loving grandchildren; Lance Clarke, Landon Parrish, Johnathan and Brielle Ferrall, and Adam and Julianne Biedrycki. John also leaves his father John Bass Ferrall, sister and brother in law Judy Ann and Sherman Eddie Long, and sister Dawn Marie Horn of Tennessee.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited Saturday, 2/4/23 for visitation at 11am and for a service at 12pm to celebrate John’s life at Monument Heights Church in Richmond, VA.
John chose to donate brain tissue to help further PSP research. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to #CUREPSP. https://www.psp.org/iwanttohelp/ways-to-give/
