Jane Johnson Roberts

Jane Roberts, 87, passed into heaven late in the evening of November 30. She was a lifelong resident of Hampton and member of First United Methodist Church. She moved to Richmond to be close to her extended family. She was many things, but above all a Christian wife and mother who spent her life nurturing and loving her family. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Carl, four children and their spouses: David and Janet Roberts, Susan and Isaac Wornom, Norma Roberts, and Paul and Ellen Robert; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Mike Roberts, Scott and Kelly Roberts, Christopher and Laura Wornom, Katherine and Matthew Smith, Jacqueline and Stephen Griggs, Carolyn Roberts, Elizabeth and Tyler Pease, and Victoria and David Haselden. She had five precious great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, M. V. Johnson, Jr., Wade Johnson, and Walter Johnson and wife, Sharon. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, at 2 PM at Second Baptist Church, 9614 River Road, Richmond, Virginia.
